The Everest marathon, which dates back to 1987 has been listed as the highest marathon in the world by the Guinness Book of Records. The 42 km long race over the rough mountain trails starts from Gorakshep and finishes off in Namche Bazar at 3446m - on our hotel terrace! Hotel Sherpaland, Namche Bazaar, takes pride in being assosciated as one of the hosts for this grand event taking place on 4th December 09.
